Our office also offers High Resolution Retinal Photography, which uses a computer-integrated digital imaging system to record a detailed view of the retina and the major internal structures of your eyes.

Retinal photos can assist in early detection and management of retinal problems, optic nerve disease, pre-cancerous lesions, macular degeneration, hypertensive retinopathy, glaucoma changes and other diseases that may cause vision loss. (the picture to the left is an example of a picture taken of the back of an eye) Photos are especially important for patients over 35 years of age and those with a personal or family history of high blood pressure, diabetes, retinal problems, headaches, strong eyeglass prescription, borderline or high eye pressure or glaucoma.
